Shooting leaves man wounded at Kirby Burger King

A lunchtime shooting Thursday at the Burger King restaurant on Kirby Drive north of Bissonnet Street sent a man to the hospital in unknown condition, and as many as three suspects fled the scene.

Houston police will be studying surveillance video from the restaurant for clues.

According to news reports, the man apparently argued in the parking lot with two men shortly before 12:30 p.m., when one fired several shots at him, striking him more than once.

The two men fled in a gold or tan SUV driven by a third man, eyewitnesses said.

The victim was transported to Ben Taub Hospital.
