The West University Place annual Easter/Spring Festival will be held Saturday, April 12, from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. at the West U Rec Center fields, located at 4210 Bellaire Blvd.
The celebration includes a visit from the Easter Bunny and West U’s own Wally the Walrus.
Admission to the event is free and open to children, under age 11.
Don’t forget to stop by the Rec Center to submit your guess on how many eggs that the Di-Eggo can hold — and you may win one of three grand prizes during the festival. Di-Eggo was placed on display in the Rec Center in mid-March.
More fun during April will start every Friday night at 7 p.m, in the Colonial Park Pavilion, with Music under the Stars featuring Classic Concerts.
Be sure to bring a picnic basket and a blanket for the concerts, which will include the Apollo Chamber Players Orchestra on April 4; the Zeger Strings on April 11, and the River Oaks Chamber Orchestra on April 25.
