Slashed Tires, Dog Bite, Other West U Crime

12/13/2013
Criminal Mischief
At 8:27 a.m., an officer was dispatched to the 4100 block of Villanova in regard to a criminal mischief that already occurred. Upon arrival, the officer spoke with the victim who stated that between 12-14-13 at 10:00 p.m. and 12-15-13 at 8: 20 a.m., an unknown suspect(s) used an unknown cutting instrument to slash the tires on two of the victims vehicles.

Criminal Mischief
At 8:29 am, a police officer was dispatched to the 4100 block of Villanova, in regards to vandalism to private property. The victim stated unknown person(s) slashed / cut several of his vehicle’s tires.

Criminal Mischief
At 8:59 am, a police officer observed a vehicle with a flat tire in the 4100 block of Villanova. The police officer spoke with the owner of the vehicle and it was discovered that an unknown person(s) slashed / cut the tire.

Burglary Motor Vehicle
At 1:37 p.m. an officer was dispatched to the police station, in regard to burglary of a motor vehicle that already occurred. Upon arrival, the officer spoke with the victim who stated that on 12-6-13 at 9:00p.m. he parked his vehicle in a parking lot located in the 2600 block of Bissonnet. Upon return to the vehicle at 10:00 p.m., it was discovered that an unknown suspect(s) forced entry into the vehicle and stole items without consent.

Animal Bite
At 2:00 pm, an officer was dispatched to the 5900 block of Wakeforest regarding an animal bite. The victim stated she was walking her dog when she was attacked by two loose large breed dogs. The officer observed the victims wounds to be from a dog bite. EMS treated the victim’s wounds and transported her to a local hospital. The dogs were captured and placed into quarantine for observation.

Fail to Stop & Give Info
Officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle that was later discovered to be involved in a hit and run incident. During the investigation officers located the victim’s vehicle in the 3200 block of Amherst. The suspect was booked accordingly.

Fail to Stop & Give Info
At 1:27 pm, a police officer was dispatched to the 4100 block of Villanova, in regards to an unknown driver operating a motor vehicle, who struck and caused damage to a vehicle and failed to leave their contact information.

12/15/2013
Fail to Stop & Give Info
At 9:55 am, a police officer was dispatched to the 4100 block of Amherst, in regards to an unknown driver striking a parked vehicle and failing to leave their contact information.

Found Property
At 10:30 a.m., an officer was dispatched to the police station, in regard to found property. Upon arrival, the officer spoke with the reportee who located property belonging to an unknown person in the 2600 block of Rice Blvd. The reportee brought the property to the police station for safe keeping.

Burglary of motor vehicle
At 3:10 am, officers were dispatched to the 5700 block of Community in regards to a burglary of a motor vehicle, in progress. The reportee was able to give a vehicle description and the direction in which the suspects fled. Officers were able to locate the suspects’ vehicle and after further investigation, the suspects were taken into custody.
