WUSA Kicks Off Season With Annual Father-daughter Dance And Opening Day Parade Of Teams

West University Softball Association, one of the state’s largest girls youth softball associations, will kick off its 30th season with its annual Father/Daughter Dance, frp, 7-9 p.m. tonight, Feb. 13 at West University Elementary School.


At 9 a.m. Feb. 14, the community is invited to join in WUSA’s Opening Day Parade of Teams by lining up on Edloe Street between Rice Boulevard and Goode Street as nearly 50 teams from Pixie to Junior division show their spirit for this great sport. 


Plans are also well underway for Family Night Out, WUSA’s annual fundraiser, which includes dinner, an auction, and games, scheduled for 6-9 p.m. at the Rice Students Center.  Tickets are available at the door, $20 for adults and $15 for children.
