The Wildcats, a neighborhood 12-year-old Select team, beat the number one seeded Team Extreme Fury, out of Tomball, in the quarterfinal matchup behind the starting pitching of John Peavy, defeated a Kingwood team in the semi-finals behind the pitching of Zach Pearson, who allowed one hit over five innings, and clinched the Bay Area Baseball Association tournament title Sunday, July 12, in League City, with a 7 -4 victory over the Woodlands Vipers. Reliever Luke Dworak entered in the sixth inning of the championship game and did not allow a hit as he recorded his second save of the day.
