West U’s Roland Sledge asks Gov. Perry for railroad commission vacancy
A West University man is asking Gov. Rick Perry to appoint him to a fresh vacancy on the Texas Railroad Commission. Roland Sledge of the 3600 block of Sunset Boulevard in West U is already a candidate for the Republican nomination for Railroad Commission, but he announced Wednesday that he’s asked the governor to name him to the position vacated Monday by Elizabeth Ames Jones, who is running for a state senate seat in San Antonio.
