West U Residents to See Slight Increase in Water Rates
West U residents will see a slight increase in their water rates starting in June.
The West U City Council approved increasing water rates by 1.22 percent Monday night in order to recover the cost of purchasing treated surface water from the City of Houston.
Residents who use 12,000 gallons of water per month will see an increase of $0.85 cents per month.
Finance Director Rhonda Daugherty told council that the new rates will be reflected in the June water bills.
