West U Residents Report Identity Theft, Car Burglaries To Police

West U residents reported identity theft, car burglaries to police from Sept. 12 - 18.

These incidents were reported to West U police from Sept. 12 to Sept. 18.

On Sept. 12, a Plumb Street resident reported credit card abuse. An unknown person used her credit card to make unauthorized purchased over the Internet.

On Sept. 13, a briefcase, wallet, cell phone and some cash was stolen from a vehicle in the 2700 block of Cason.

The unknown suspect forced entry into the vehicle by breaking a window out.

On Sept. 14, two laptops were stolen from West University Baptist Church. The laptops were recovered and no charges were filed.

On Sept. 15, two bicycles were stolen from an open garage in the 3400 block of Albans.

On Sept. 16, a belt and some makeup were stolen from an unlocked vehicle in the 2600 block of Fenwood.

On Sept. 16, a book, an emergency roadside kit and a purse were stolen from an unlocked vehicle in the 2600 block of Fenwood.

On Sept. 17, an unknown person scratched a vehicle with an object in the 6100 block of Fordham.

On Sept. 17, a West U employee’s wallet was stolen from a city vehicle.

On Sept. 17, a resident reported that a gym bag, makeup, an iPod and eyeglasses were stolen from a vehicle in the 2700 block of Fenwood.
