West U Residents Report Car Burglaries, Identity Theft To Police

A West U resident had a GPS stolen from his vehicle in the 6600 block of Brompton on Aug. 15.

The vehicle was unlocked at the time of the burglary, police said.

On Aug. 16, an unknown person used a resident’s personal information to forge checks.

On Aug. 17, golf clubs were stolen from a garage in the 3900 block of Southwestern.

On Aug. 18, a vehicle was broken into in the 3100 block of Albans.

The vehicle was rummaged through, but no items were missing, police said.

The owner of the vehicle noticed a T-shirt and a pair of sunglasses in the vehicle that did not belong to him
