West University residents who have always dreamed of owning a beach home at Tiki Island will have their chance to buy that getaway in the Galveston County resort community through an online bidding process.

BIDDING ON BEACH HOMES – This house is one of 20 on Tiki Island being auctioned off in a unique online bidding process.

Gary Greene, Realtors will host online bidding in conjunction with www.RealtyBid.com for 20 homes currently on the market in Tiki Island.

Homes can be viewed online or in person during open houses starting today and running through July 12. Bidding opens July 13 and goes through July 15.

Broker participation is welcomed and encouraged. Gary Greene, Realtors is inviting co-op agents to register their clients in the online bidding.

Interested buyers are also invited to register and enter their agent as their representative.

Agents must hold a Texas real estate license.

The auction will feature a variety of 20 homes, priced from $250,000 to more than $1 million.

Linda Sheinall, manager of Prudential Gary Greene’s Tiki Island office, called the opportunity “exceptional.”

“Tiki Island, located in West Galveston Bay, has always been one of Houston’s most popular second-home resorts,” Sheinall said. “It is only a 40-minute commute from downtown Houston, with deep-water access to the Gulf of Mexico.”

Sheinall added the online bidding event is an exciting experience that reduces paperwork and negotiations. It also affords people the ability to bid on a home from any location in the comfortable, low-pressure environment of their choice and is a creative tool in today’s real estate market.

Those wanting to bid can log on to www.RealtyBid.com/tiki to register.

To schedule a private tour of any home included in the special online event, contact the Prudential Gary Greene Tiki Island office at 409-938-1121 or e-mail at tikisales@garygreene.com.
