West U Residents Call Police, Catch Burglar In Time

April 22, 2010

West U residents saw a man running in and out of yards and driveways on April 17 in the 2800 block of Wonton and called the police.

Garrett Osborne, 29, was arrested for an outstanding assault warrant.

Osborne was probably a burglar, but he didn’t steal anything, Lt. Charlie Deily said.

“Residents did what they were supposed to do and we got him in time,” he said.

On April 11, West U police arrested Brandon White, 25, for public intoxication. White was blocking traffic at the north bound stop sign on Westchester at University. He had slurred speech, was incoherent and police smelled alcohol on his breath.

On April 15, police arrested Christopher Hill, 26, in the 4100 block of Emory for driving with an invalid license.

On April 16, police found a 15-year-old male and a 16-year-old male in possession of marijuana in the 2800 block of Quenby. This incident is under investigation.
