West U Police Still Have Unclaimed Property From Recent Car Burglaries

West U police still have several unclaimed items in its possession from a recent string of car burglaries.

Police arrested four males on Monday, Sept. 6 for burglarizing motor vehicles in the West U area.

Some of the unclaimed items include electronics, jewelry, two bicycles, sunglasses and a car key.

The four men burglarized vehicles in the 3700 block of Rice, the 3800 block of Rice, the 3700 block of Elmora in Southside Place and the 3700 block of Ingold in Southside Place.

Rex Donnato, a 23-year-old Houston resident, was arrested and charged with two burglaries of motor vehicles.

He also was found with two outstanding warrants with Harris County Precinct 3 Constables for no insurance and no driver’s license.

Bradley Alexander, Jr., a 20-year-old Houston resident, was arrested and charged with two burglaries of motor vehicles.

Alexander was found with an outstanding warrant for theft from Humble, Texas.

Joseph Batiste, a 19-year-old Houston resident, was arrested and charged with two burglaries of motor vehicles.

Batiste was found with an outstanding warrant for possession of a controlled substance with the Harris County Sheriff’s Department.

Verion Sandles III, a 25-year-old Houston resident, was arrested and charged with two burglaries of motor vehicles.

Sandles had driven into West U and left his vehicle while the men burglarized several vehicles.

He told police that his driver’s license was in his vehicle. When the officer went to retrieve it, they found crack cocaine next to the driver’s license, police said.

Sandles was also charged with possession of a controlled substance.

All four men were transported to Harris County Jail.
