West U Police Release Details in Fordham Home Burglary Case
More details have been released about a burglary that occurred in the 6100 block of Fordham on Monday, Nov. 12.
West U officers were called to the 6100 block of Fordham after 6 p.m. on Nov. 12 to meet with the homeowners about a burglary at their residence.
According to a police report obtained through an open records request, the burglars broke into the home through a double pane, double hung window at the rear of the residence. Police found a landscaping stone on the ground below the window that was used to break the glass.
Once inside, the burglars rummaged through the closets in the upstairs bedrooms, stealing jewelry from a wooden cabinet in the master bedroom, according to the report. The burglars also stole a glass display case containing autographed baseballs and four laptop computers.
The homeowners told police that their alarm system was not hooked up because they recently had windows installed.
There are no suspects at this time.
