West U Police Investigating Early Morning Armed Robbery

The West U Police Department is investigating an armed robbery that occurred early this morning in the 3000 block of Georgetown.

According to police reports, an officer was dispatched to the 3000 block of Georgetown for an aggravated robbery that had already occurred.

The victims told police that three males with a small revolver handgun approached them on foot and demanded their backpacks and jewelry, the report said. The robbery occurred around 12:04 a.m.

Police searched the area, but no suspects were located.

Capt. Thad Olive told InstantNewsWestU.com that the victims are not West U residents. No other information was released because the case is still under investigation.
