West U. IWA Senior Qualifies For AP Scholar Award
Eight students at Incarnate Word Academy have earned AP Scholar Awards in recognition of their achievement on AP Exams.
West University Place resident and senior Bianca Leggio qualified for the AP Scholar Award by completing three or more AP Exams with grades of 3 or higher. Other AP Scholars include Memorial-area residents and seniors Adrianne Edling and Marianna Ward, as well as senior Bethany Hamilton, senior Maeveen Riordan and senior Paulina Sosa.
Senior Andrea Romero qualified for the AP Scholars with Honor Award by earning an average grade of at least 3.25 on all AP Exams taken, and grades of 3 or higher on four or more of these exams.
Incarnate Word Academy currently offers ten AP courses, which includes Biology, Microeconomics, English III & IV, Environmental Science, Government, Latin III & IV, Spanish IV and US History.
The College Board’s Placement Program provides students with the opportunity to take college-level courses while still in high school, and to earn college credits, advanced placement, or both for successful performance on the AP Exams.
