West U Crime Report: Burglarized cars, warrants and driving violations
Three cars were stolen in West University from July 8 to July 13, according to the latest crime reports from the West U Police Department.
The three cars were stolen between July 9th and July 10th.
The first burglary occurred on July 9, on that day, an officer was dispatched to the 5600 block of Kirby to speak with a complainant in regards to a burglary of a motor vehicle. The officer gathered the necessary information and generated a report.
The next two occurred on June 10. The first occurred in the 3100 block of Georgetown. An officer was dispatched to the location and gathered the necessary information to generate a report. The next burglary of a car took place a couple hours later. An officer was dispatched to the 300 block of Lafayette to respond to the call. Upon arrival, the officer generated a report for the burglary.
On July 13, officers were flagged down in the 4200 block of Bellaire by a complainant who stated that unknown suspects entered their unsecured vehicle and removed items. The necessary information was taken to generate a report.
Vehicle weren’t the only thing burglarized, on July 8, an officer was dispatched to the 5300 block of Buffalo Speedway regarding an aggravated robbery. According to the report, the victim was approached by four suspects who brandished at least two pistols. The suspects struck the victim twice and then took the victim’s purse. The victim stated she remained face down on the pavement until after the four suspects fled from the scene. The suspects were described as 3 black males and 1 black female.
Aside from burglaries, the West U Police Department made a bevy of warrant arrests. The first came via an assist from the Pearland Police Department. On July 8, an officer was dispatched to the Pearland Police Department in order to obtain custody of a subject who had multiple West University warrants for arrest. The subject was subsequently taken into custody and transported to West U without incident.
On July 13, an officer was dispatched to the Houston Police Department in order to obtain custody of a prisoner who had multiple warrants for his arrest with West University. Upon arrival, the subject was taken into custody.
Three warrant arrests were made on July 14. The first two occurred when an officer was dispatched to the Harris County Jail to pick up prisoners who had multiple warrants with West University. Both subjects were taken into custody and transported to the West U jail without incident.
The third warrant arrest on July 14 occurred when an officer observed a vehicle travelling 45 mph in a posted 30 mph speed zone while heading northbound at the 5500 block of Buffalo Speedway. Upon further investigation it was discovered that the violator had outstanding warrants from Missouri City. The violator was taken into custody and transported to the Missouri City Police Department.

On July 8, an officer was dispatched to the West U police department lobby to see a complainant regarding a victim of identity theft. The victim stated that personal information was compromised to fraudulently attempt to obtain credit.
On July 12, a traffic stop was conducted in the 6500 block of Buffalo Speedway. After further investigation the driver was arrested for driving with an invalid license.
