Weekend Crime: West U Family Violence and Warrant Arrests
At 1:30 a.m., an officer was dispatched to 610 South and Fannin to meet with a Pearland PD officer who had in custody a suspect who was wanted with the City of West University Place. On arrival, the subject was taken into custody and transported without incident.
At 2:07 p.m., an officer was dispatched to the police station lobby located at 3814 University in regards to an assault. Upon arrival, the officer made contact with the reportee who stated that his mother had struck him in his lip during a verbal altercation. Moments later, the officer spoke to the reportee’s mother who stated her son grabbed her from the arms during the verbal altercation and struck him in his lip in attempt to remove his hands from her arms. The officer then spoke to the Harris County District Attorney’s office in which charges for assault were declined. The officer gathered the necessary information to generate a report.
An officer was dispatched to the 6800 block of W Loop South to meet with Harris County Constable Precinct 5 and took custody of an individual with outstanding warrants through the City of West University Place.
