Weekend Crime: Thieves Steal Lawn Equipment, Bicycle from West U Homes

At 12:42 p.m., an officer was dispatched to the 4200 block of Bissonnet in reference to a theft. An unknown person removed 2 weed eaters and a lawn mower from a garage.


Failure to Identify 

At 4:52 p.m., an officer observed a vehicle make a turn without signaling. A traffic stop was conducted. The officer detected an odor of marijuana from inside the vehicle. The passenger evaded officers on foot, but was later apprehended. The passenger gave officers a fictitious name and date of birth. After correctly identifying the passenger, it was discovered the passenger had warrants out of Florida. The passenger was arrested.



At 3:13 p.m., an officer was dispatched to the 2700 block of Talbot in reference to a theft. The complainant’s bicycle was removed from his property without consent.


Warrant Arrest 

At 10:24 p.m., an officer was dispatched to 610 and South Main to meet with a Missouri City Police Officer to take custody of an individual with WUPD warrants. WUPD took custody of that individual and transported him to WUPD.



At 01:44 a.m., an officer observed a vehicle in the 6000 block of Weslayan with no license plate light. A traffic stop was conducted in the 4000 block of Byron. The driver was operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license. It was also discovered that the driver had consumed alcohol before driving. The driver was arrested.
