Weekend Crime Report: Driver with Hazard Lights On Busted with Pot
Possession of Narcotics
An officer approached a vehicle with its hazard lights activated to ascertain if the driver was in need of assistance. The driver was found to be in possession of marijuana and was arrested and booked into the West University Place jail without incident.
An officer was on uniform patrol in the area of 4000 Bellaire when he located two subjects who were found to be intoxicated and sleeping in a vehicle. The two subjects were arrested and booked into the West University jail without incident.
An officer was dispatched to the 6400 block of Community to meet with a complainant in reference to criminal mischief that had already occurred. The officer arrived and met with the complainant who advised that an unknown person(s) had sprayed painted the fencing protecting the pump station. The complainant stated that had occurred sometime during the night. The officer obtained the complainants information and filed a report on the incident.
An officer observed a vehicle traveling with no front license plate and displaying and expired registration in the 5700 block of Buffalo Speedway. The officer initiated a traffic stop and upon further investigation discovered that the operator was in possession of a fake temporary registration buyer tag. The operator was arrested and charged with fictitious/altered vehicle registration.
