Crime Report: Jewelry Stolen from Home on Plumb
Burglary of Habitation
At 12:31 pm, an officer was dispatched to the 3700 block of Plumb in reference to a theft that had already occurred. After further investigation, it was discovered that an unknown person(s) burglarized the residence and stole several jewelry items. Information was gathered and a report was generated.
At 12:03 pm, an officer was dispatched to Southwest Freeway and Kirby to meet with a Houston Police Officer, who had a subject in custody with two outstanding warrants out of The City of West U.
At 12:30 pm, an officer was dispatched to the 2600 block of Robinhood, in reference to a theft that had already occurred. Upon further investigation, it was discovered that the victim’s front patio furniture had been stolen. Information was gathered and a report was generated.
Driving while Intoxicated
An officer observed a vehicle speeding in the 6400 block of Buffalo Speedway. Once the vehicle was stopped the driver and passenger switched positions. The driver of the vehicle was arrested for suspicion of driving while intoxicated. The suspect was booked into the West U jail without incident.
At 11:49 am, an officer was dispatched to the 5800 block of Annapolis in regard to a report of criminal mischief that had already occurred. Upon arrival, the victim advised that someone had damaged his driver side front door locking key hole. The victim advised that the inside of his vehicle was not disturbed. A report for criminal mischief was generated.
Burglary of Motor Vehicle
At 10:41 am, an officer was dispatched to a residence in the 2700 block of Arbuckle in reference to a burglary of a motor vehicle that already occurred. The owner reported, an unknown person entered his vehicle and took his personal property without his consent. No suspects were located at this time.
At 11:46 pm, an officer was dispatched to the 6700 block of Avenue B, to meet with a South Side Place Police Officer who detained a subject with outstanding warrants from The City of West U. The warrants were confirmed and a West University Police Officer took custody of the subject, who was then transported to the West U jail without incident.
