Weekend Crime: Driver Arrested for Possession of Cocaine, Warrants

Driving While License Suspended

At 1550 hours, an officer conducted a traffic stop in the 3800 block of University Blvd for no brake lights. During the course of the investigation, it was discovered that the driver’s license was not valid, and the vehicle did not have insurance. The driver was arrested for driving while license suspended.

Warrant Arrest

At 2120 hours, an officer was dispatched to 61 Reisner, Houston Police Department Jail, to take custody of an individual who had warrants with West University Place. The officer transported the individual to WUPD for booking.

Failure to Stop and Give Information

At 2238 hours, an officer was dispatched to the 5300 block of Sewanee in reference to a minor accident. An unknown person struck the front fender of a vehicle and left the scene.

Possession of Narcotics

At 0150 hours, an officer observed a vehicle traveling westbound in the 4100 block of Bissonnet with a defective headlight. A traffic stop was conducted, and the driver was found to be in possession of cocaine. The driver also had multiple warrants for his arrest. The driver was arrested for the offenses.

Warrant Arrest

At 2300 hours, an officer was dispatched to I10 at Silber to meet with an officer from Memorial Village Police Department. MVPD had a subject in custody with West University Place warrants. WUPD officer took custody of the individual and transported him to WUPD for booking.
