Weekend Crime: Burglars Kick in Resident’s Back Door, Steal Jewelry

Burglary of Habitation

At 1520 hours, an officer was dispatched to the 2800 block of Georgetown to investigate a report of a burglary of a residence. The officer met with the victim, who reported that an unknown person kicked in the back door, entered her residence and took jewelry.


Driving While License Invalid

At 0047 hours, an officer observed a vehicle traveling southbound in the 5900 block of Kirby at 50 miles per hour in a posted 35 mile per hour zone. The vehicle also had expired registration. A traffic stop was conducted, and the driver was found to have a suspended driver’s license. The driver was arrested.


Driving While Intoxicated

At 0201 hours, an officer was traveling westbound on Bellaire and observed a vehicle that had struck a light pole in the 6700 block of Stella Link. After further investigation, the individual was arrested for driving while intoxicated.
