Weekend Crime: Bike Rider Arrested for Parole Violation
At about 0207 hours, an officer observed a vehicle traveling in the 2500 block of Times and failed to stop at a posted stop sign. Upon contact with the driver, it was determined that the driver had been consuming alcohol prior to driving. The driver was given several field sobriety tests and was arrested for suspicion of driving while intoxicated.
At approximately 2242 hours, an officer observed a subject riding a bicycle on the 6300 block of Weslayan with no white light. The officer made contact with the subject and a check of his driver’s license revealed a parole violation warrant for a prior burglary charge. The warrant was confirmed and the subject was arrested and transported to the Harris County Sheriff’s Office.
