Walk Labyrinth at St. Paul’s January 8

December 19, 2008

The movable Labyrinth at St. Paul’s United Methodist Church will be set up indoors for prayer and meditation from 1:30 to 7 p.m. Thursday, January 8. It will be in the church’s Activity Center on the second floor of the Sanctuary Building. Normally available on the first Thursday of every month, due to the first Thursday of January 2009 being a holiday, this month the Labyrinth will be available on the second Thursday.

Found in many religious traditions in various forms around the world, the labyrinth is an archetype of the journey of a spiritual seeker, a symbol of unity and wholeness. St. Paul’s Labyrinth is an integral part of spiritual retreats at the church and the experiences of Advent and Holy Week.

At 5501 Main Street, St. Paul’s United Methodist Church is in the modified English Gothic structure on the corner of Main and Binz/Bissonnet, across from the Museum of Fine Arts, Houston. The church is within one block of both Museum District MetroRail stops, and free parking is available in two lots across Fannin Street from the church. Website: www.stpaulshouston.org
