Volunteers Needed to Distribute Recycling Information

March 12, 2014

The City of West University Place needs volunteers to help distribute door hangers to all West University Place households (5,000 in total). The door hangers provide updated guidelines for curbside recycling of paper, cardboard, glass bottles/jars, plastic containers, aluminum and tin cans, in addition to providing information on the proper disposal of Household Hazardous Waste. Each volunteer will be given a pack of 200 door hangers and a mapped out area of 200 West U homes. It is estimated that it will take two hours to complete the distribution of 200 door hangers. Service hour slips will be provided to volunteers who need them. High school students, families, scouts and individuals wishing to help are encouraged to volunteer.
