Turnout Low: West U Voting Easier Than Ever

May 1, 2013

After slightly more than two days of early voting for the West University City Council Election, only 91 of the 10,379 registered voted have cast their ballots, less than 1/10 of 1 percent of the registered voters in the city.

“There are no lines,” said West U City Secretary Thelma Lenz, “It takes less than two minutes to vote.”

Voting has never been easier; parking is available by the front door and all you need is your driver’s license for identification.

All residents will vote at the West University Place Municipal Building, 3800 University Boulevard, in the council chamber.

Early voting is open through Friday, May 3 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Monday, May 6 and Tuesday, May 7 from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.
