Turn Your Backyard Into Wildlife Habitat
This Sunday, the Houston Arboretum and Nature Center will offer a workshop to teach people how to craft birdbaths and puddles in their backyards to attract wildlife like birds and butterflies.
The class is part of the center’s Backyard Habitat Builder Series, taught by Arboretum Conservation Director Joe Blanton. It begins at 1 p.m. on Sunday, and it costs $60 for members or $80 for non-members.
Other courses in the series take place in November and December, and cover topics like building winter shelters and providing food sources for wildlife.
