Tuesday’s Crime: Vehicle Stolen from 4200 block of Ruskin
Theft of a Vehicle
At 8:41 a.m., officers were dispatched to the 4200 block of Ruskin, in reference to a vehicle theft which had already occurred. Upon arrival, officers made contact with the victim who advised his vehicle had been stolen from this location sometime overnight. The vehicle was entered into the NCIC/TCIC database.
At 11:32 a.m., an officer was dispatched to the West University Place Police station to meet with a resident who was a victim of identity theft. The officer met with the victim who stated an unknown person had used his credit card information to purchase a laptop online.
Failure to Stop and Give Information
At 7:07 p.m., officers were dispatched to a report of a motor vehicle accident in the 3800 block of Rice. It was reported by witnesses that a vehicle struck a parked vehicle and fled the scene before stopping and leaving information. The owner of the vehicle was notified of the incident.
