Tonight: Public Meeting for Proposed Alexan West University Apartment Complex
A public meeting will be held tonight about the proposed five-story apartment complex that may be developed on Law Street.
The meeting will be held at the West University Church of Christ, 3407 Bissonnet Street, at 7 p.m.
Trammell Crow Residential is looking to develop a new apartment complex called Alexan West University. The complex would replace the Courts at West University at 3810 Law Street.
The proposed development is located in the City of Houston on the other side of Bissonnet from West U.
The proposed plan includes a 2.5 acre site with 231 one bedroom and two bedroom rental apartment units. Of those units, 85 percent would be one bedroom apartments and 15 percent would be two bedrooms.
The Courts at West University were built in 1973 and have 146 apartment rentals. The proposed development would be built on the same footprint with 85 additional units.
The building will have four floors of dwelling units over a parking garage that will be integrated to match the building.
The goal for the meeting is to allow anyone who may be impacted by the project to have an opportunity to hear from the developer and to ask questions.
