Heavy Trash Day in West U

April 26, 2014

West U residents have the opportunity to dispose of heavy and unwanted household items Saturday at Heavy Trash Day.

The city of West U provides this service each year, for items that are too large or heavy for curbside pick-up.

Just bring those items to the West U Public Works Maintenance Facility, at 2826 Milton, from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, April 26. City staffers will be on hand to help residents unload their unwanted items.

Goodwill also will be there to accept usable household and clothing items.

Residents who are disposing of any items that have freons (refrigerators, air conditioners, etc.) must provide a certificate indicating that the freon has been removed. The city also will recycle E-waste such as computers, printers, cell phone, laser and inkjet cartridges, batteries, etc.

To learn more, please visit the City’s website at www.westutx.gov/trash or email recycle@westutx.gov.
