Three BMVs Reported, Two In The 3400 Block Of Amherst
The passenger window of a truck in the 6700 block of Sewanee was shattered sometime between noon Nov. 7 and 8 a.m. Nov. 8. The incident was not reported until Nov. 9, and nothing was taken from the vehicle.
The garage door of a home in the 4100 block of Amherst was tampered with Nov. 10, but nothing was reported stolen.
A death by natural causes was reported around 10:30 a.m. Nov. 11 in the 4100 block of Case.
A driver pulled over for a defective brake light was taken into custody around 4:23 p.m. Nov. 11 after officers discovered she did not have a license or car insurance.
An automobile wreck ending in the arrest of the driver for child endangerment after it was discovered the driver has over-self-medicated on prescription drugs. The crash occurred around 2:21 p.m. Nov. 12 at the intersection of the 6700 block of Academy and the 4000 block of Ruskin. Witnesses told police that the suspect was driving erratically and the child was unsecured. The driver and the child were uninjured.
A resident came to the police station on Nov. 14 to report that an unknown person was using the resident’s credit card to buy items on the internet.
Three motor vehicle burglaries were reported Nov. 15. The first was reported at 8:33 a.m. in the 3400 block of Amherst, the second at 8:45 a.m. in the same block, and the last at 9:43 p.m. in the 4100 block of Rice. A scent pad sample was taken from the third car for further investigation.
A driver was arrested on Nov. 15 for driving with a suspended license after police pulled the driver over for a missing front license plate and no light on the rear license plate.
