Three Air Conditioning Units Stolen
West U. police were dispatched to the 4100 block of Bissonnet around 3:27 a.m. July 27 in reference to a man trying to enter a residence. When police arrived, they found an intoxicated man, who did not live at the residence, trying to get in. The man did not know where he was, and was arrested for public intoxication.
Police were called to St. Luke’s Medical Facility around 11:15 a.m. July 27 in response to a domestic violence report. The victim was being treated for a fractured bleeding nose. The incident occurred in the 2600 block of Rice Blvd.
An air conditioning unit was stolen from the backyard of a vacant, newly-built home in the 6000 block of Wakeforest. The theft occurred some time between July 26 and July 28. Another resident in the 3200 block of Cason reported two air conditioner units stolen from his property on July 30.
A resident whose wallet was lost reported fraudulent use of his debit card on July 28. Also on July 28 a fire hydrant was damaged by a hit-and-run around 6:50 p.m.
Officers stopped a vehicle in around 3:13 a.m. July 29 in the 3100 block of Rice Blvd. for expired registration. While checking the registration sticker, officers discovered it had been altered to look current. The driver was arrested for fictitious registration.
A car in the 4100 block of Byron was broken into on July 27. A window was broken out, and personal property was stolen. Another car was broken into on July 31, this time in the 3300 block of Bissonnet. The window was smashed, and the victim’s purse was stolen.
Police tried to stop a man on a bicycle around 12:30 a.m. Aug. 1, but the man dropped the bike and ran. The officer chased the suspect towards the 4000 block of Marlowe. A second officer saw another suspect and attempted to stop him as well. The second suspect was caught, and a Houston Police Department K-9 Unit caught the first suspect. Carl Gene Fagan and Andrew Alexander Huff were arrested for evading arrest/detention.
A noise disturbance call led to a citation for a minor driving under the influence around 9:48 p.m. Aug. 1. The officers responded to the call in the 5600 block of Buffalo Speedway, and the caller told police there may be a party with minors drinking alcohol. Officers saw a car leave the house at a high rate of speed, and stopped the car in the 3500 block of Nottingham. The driver was a minor under the influence. He was cited and released to a parent.
Five men were cited for disorderly conduct after a possible fight in progress was reported in the 5300 block of Mercer around 12:25 a.m. Aug. 2.
A bicycle was stolen from a garage in the 3100 block of Bissonnet Aug. 2. A leaf blower was stolen from the back of a pick-up truck in the 3700 block of Robinhood on Aug. 2. The suspect vehicle was a silver sedan.
