Youngsters were given “passports” and earned stamps by visiting each country’s table, and volunteers representing 38 different countries entertained and informed attendees with performances, costumes, and food.

Most memorable were the Latin, Scottish, Indian and “Gangnam Style” dances performed by West University students. There was also a high-energy kung fu demonstration by twenty-seven members of the Houston Shaolin Temple.

The student coalition No Place For Hate was on hand to educate festival-goers on their anti-bullying campaign, which emphasizes inclusion, acceptance and diversity.
