Southside Place police say man had sex with 12-year-old girl in CVS restroom
Police are looking for a man suspected of having sex with a 12-year-old girl in a restroom in the CVS Pharmacy at 3939 Bellaire Blvd. at Stella Link Road, according to TV news reports.
Det. Michael Kelly of the Southside Place Police Department told ABC-13 Eyewitness News that surveillance video from around 2 p.m. Oct. 16 appears to show the man approaching the girl after she entered the store with mother and grandmother and separated from them. “They went off into a corner, and there were times when he was not fully clothed,” Kelly said.
The girl was then “coaxed” into the restroom, according to Kelly, where “she was not necessarily all that unwilling” to allegedly have sex with the man.
Her willingness is not an issue – legal age for consent to have sex is 17.
The man is described as white, in his mid- to late 20s, with a goatee, distinctive hairline and hairy, tattooed arms. The surveillance video shows him with a towel over his shoulder, and his clothing may have been speckled with paint.
Anyone with information on the suspect should contact Kelly at 713-668-2341.
