Soccer Game Leads To Houston Resident’s Arrest

A broken window from a soccer ball caused a Houston resident to be pulled over and arrested for an invalid driver’s license.

Israel Perez-Ledesma, 28, was arrested in the 5800 block of Wesleyan on May 24 for an invalid driver’s license, fail to maintain financial responsibility and expired registration.

Perez-Ledesma’s window was broken from a soccer game that had been going on near his apartment complex. Police noticed the broken window and found that he had expired registration.

On May 24, Veronica Mata, a 39-year-old Houston resident, was arrested for driving with an invalid license in the 3200 block of Plumb.

On May 27, Joshua Teycer, a 22-year-old Houston resident, was arrested for possession of marijuana.

Police pulled Teycer over in the 6200 block of Rutgers for a defective tail light and smelled marijuana coming from the vehicle.

Police searched the car and found three bags of marijuana, containing 4 grams total.

On May 28, someone saw a black suburban hit a parked car and failed to stop and give information.

The witness left a note of the vehicle saying that someone hit her car and left the license plate number.

The vehicle had a little damage to the left rear bumper.

Police are investigating this incident.
