Small water rates increase to start in May
West University resident will soon see an incremental raise to their water rates after the city council approved a rate increase of 0.50 percent.
The rate increase — effective May 1 — is a result of the City of Houston increasing its treated water rates towards West University Place. Residents should see the increase reflected on their June statement.
The city estimates that a customer who uses 12,000 gallons of water will see a 0.38 cent increase in their water and sewer bill.
