Several Warrant Arrests, Two Public Intoxication Arrests Last week
West University police pulled over a driver in the 3200 block of Albans on June 23 for failing to stop at a stop sign. The driver had an expired registration sticker, a suspended license, no insurance and two warrants out of the City of Houston, and was taken into custody.
On June 23, a West U. resident reported possible fraud and criminal mischief. The resident told police that the fuel tank of his vehicle was possibly tampered with, and that some of his personal accounts had been accessed between June 16 and June 17.
Lumber was reported stolen from a construction site in the 6300 block of Brompton sometime during the night on June 23, and jewelry was reported stolen from a residence in the 3700 block of Plumb on June 24.
On June 25, officers were dispatched to a residence in the 2600 block of Rice Boulevard regarding a possible domestic disturbance. When officers arrived, they discovered there was no physical altercation between the couple, just a verbal argument, so no offense occurred.
Officers were called to the 4200 block of South Judson around 9 p.m. June 25 in reference to a suspicious person. When officers arrived, they located the suspect, who was then arrested on out-of-county warrants.
A driver and passenger were arrested on June 27, after their vehicle was stopped around 7:23 p.m. in the 2600 block of University Boulevard. The stop was initially made due to an expired registration sticker, but both occupants of the car had outstanding warrants, and were taken into custody.
Another driver was arrested for outstanding warrants around 12:20 p.m. on June 27. The driver was initially stopped for traveling 41 miles per hour in a 30 mph zone.
A traffic stop of a car with one headlight at 9:50 p.m. on June 27 resulted in a citation for drug paraphernalia .The stop was initiated in the 6700 block of Buffalo Speedway, and resulted in a search of the car. The search revealed drug paraphernalia, and the driver was cited and released.
Around 4:27 a.m. June 28, an officer noticed a car parked in the 5300 block of Belmont with the lights on and engine running. The officer discovered a man passed out in the driver’s seat. The man was arrested for public intoxication and taken to the West University Place Police Department for processing.
Another man was arrested for public intoxication after he tried to enter a residence that was not his, then gave up and at the front door. Police were called to the house in the 3000 block of Plumb on June 28. According to reports, the man did not live at the residence and did not know where he was. He was arrested and taken to the police department for processing.
A minor hit and run accident was reported on June 28 in the 2600 block of Werlein. The resident told police that an unknown vehicle hit his son’s truck around 10 a.m. The resident thought it may have been a delivery truck that had been at a neighbor’s house. Police observed the damage to the truck, and took a report.
Electronic equipment was stolen from the Radio Shack at 5804 Kirby around 6:10 p.m. June 28. A theft report was filed with the police department.
