Rice Students Flock To New Rec Center

Rice University celebrated the opening of a new 103,000-square-foot center that is available for students, faculty, staff, retirees and their spouses.

Rice University on Sept. 25 celebrated the opening of the Barbara and David Gibbs Recreation and Wellness Center, a new 103,000-square-foot center that is available for students, faculty, staff and others associated with the university.

In addition to other things, the new center has an outdoor-adventure area and rooms for fitness and dance classes.
