Presbyterian Student Wins Wrestling Match in Private School Championship
On Saturday, Dec. 8, the Presbyterian School Wrestling team participated in its first Houston Private School Middle School Championship hosted by St. Frances Episcopal School.
Eighth grader, Morgan Cuenod, dominated his division by winning his match 16-4 by submission. Cade Burr, a sixth grader, also came out strong, finishing 3rd in his division only losing one match.
PS wrestlers train three times each week under the leadership of Dr. George Parker, a PS parent, and Grant Johnson. Both coaches were All-American collegiate wrestlers for the University of Iowa (Parker) and the University of Maryland (Johnson). The Panther Wrestlers are having a successful inaugural season.
