Polls Open as Early Voting Begins
Polls are open throughout the West U area as early voting for the Nov. 6 election begins today.
Early voting will run throughout Friday, Nov. 2
During the early voting period, registered voters can cast their ballot at any voting location in the county in which they reside.
In Harris County, there are 37 locations to early vote. To see a complete list, click here.
In addition to an increasingly tight Presidential election, voters will also have a number of critical state and local races to decide. Arguably the hottest statewide race is the contest between Republican Ted Cruz and Democrat Paul Sadler for the U.S. Senate. The winner will replace long-time Sen. Kay Bailey Hutchison.
On a local level, State Rep. Sarah Davis is up against Democrat Ann Johnson in District 134.
Residents living in the METRO service area, Houston Community College district and Houston ISD will also have major bond and funding referenda on the ballot.
Early voting times differ from location to location, and voters are encouraged to check the election website of their county to confirm voting hours.
