Police: Warrants, Possession And A Minor Under The Influence

West U. Police say it is a coincidence that a man and a woman with the same last name were brought in on warrants on two separate days last week.

Robert Earl Green was arrested by the Houston Police Department on June 29, and West U. police picked him up and brought him to the West U. Police Station for processing on four warrants.

Mary Elizabeth Green was arrested by Houston police on July 2, and West U. police transported her to the station for processing on one warrant.

A woman in the 4100 block of University Boulevard went to the police station on July 1, and told police she believes her housekeeper is stealing jewelry. Police are investigating.

Damian Lorenzo Elfe was arrested around 10:02 p.m. July 1 after he was observed speeding in the 6400 block of Buffalo Speedway. Police discovered Elfe had a warrant for his arrest, and he was taken into custody. While taking inventory of the vehicle so it could be towed, police found marijuana in the center console, and charged Elfe with possession of marijuana.

A resident in the 3700 block of Sunset came to the police station on July 3 to report that a bicycle was stolen from the front yard of the residence six days earlier.

Cabinet-grade plywood was reported stolen from a construction site in the 3700 block of Sunset on July 4. An employee on site saw several men who claimed to be working on the site removing items, but his boss told him later that they were not employees and were not supposed to take anything off site. The incident is under investigation.

A minor was cited for driving under the influence and released to a parent around 1 a.m. July 5. The minor was pulled over in the 2500 block of Quenby after an officer observed him turning at University Boulevard and Kirby Drive without using his signal.

A woman in the 5300 block of Rutgers reported a car burglary on July 5, and told police a witness saw the suspects. According to the victim, the suspects were driving a silver SUV. She told police the suspects broke into her truck and stole her purse.
