Police Respond To Call Reporting Naked Man On Kirby
West U. police responded to calls about a naked man on Kirby around 10:42 a.m. May 17. When police arrived in the 5400 block of Kirby, the man had put clothes on, and police found he had outstanding warrants out of Pasadena. He was arrested for the warrants.
A driver pulled over around 1:48 a.m. May 17 for defective equipment was arrested after police found the driver to be a minor under the influence of alcohol.
A car parked in the 4000 block of Southwestern was hit by an unknown object on May 17. On May 18, a resident told police that he parked his car in the 3000 block of Rice around 10:45 p.m. May 17, and when he woke up there was damage to his vehicle. A guest staying with the resident said there was a loud noise around midnight. On May 21 a resident came to the police department to report that the driver’s side mirror on her car was on the ground when she went out to her vehicle.
Officers found methamphetamine in a car after arresting the driver for outstanding warrants around 1:37 p.m. May 20. The driver was originally stopped for speeding in the 6200 block of Buffalo Speedway. The drugs were found as police were taking inventory of the car.
Police responded to a report of vandalism at Colonial Park around 5:19 a.m. May 21.
A resident turned in a shotgun for disposal to the police department on May 21.
A resident of the 3700 block of Nottingham told police on May 22 that she received a voicemail threatening to harm her. She also reported that she received several phone calls in the early morning hours asking for a person that did not live at her home. Police took a report of both incidents.
A bicycle was stolen from a garage in May 22, and the victim told police that her neighbor saw a black man enter the garage and take the bike. Officers checked the area for the suspect, but could not locate him.
A driver traveling on the wrong side of the road in the 2700 block of Bissonnet around 11:22 p.m. May 22 was arrested for driving while intoxicated.
A woman came to the police station on May 23 and told police that s car hit the right side of her vehicle and did not stop when she was driving north in the 6700 block of Buffalo Speedway.
Around 4:04 p.m. May 23, police stopped a car traveling north in the 5500 block of Buffalo Speedway for having an expired registration sticker and unconfirmed insurance. Police discovered the driver had to car insurance, a suspended driver’s license and four outstanding warrants for his arrest.
Two children’s bicycles were found on May 23. The first was found in a ditch, and the caller told police he could see the bike in the ditch but was not sure if there was a child in need of help. Officers found the bike, but no children were around to claim it. Another bike was found behind West U. Elementary.
Police stopped a car in the 5400 block of Kirby for traffic violations around 9:50 p.m. May 23, and ended up arresting the driver for violating a restriction on her license and the passenger for Houston Police warrants.
