Papa John’s Aggravated Robbery Suspects Caught By WUPD
West U Police have arrested four men believed to be responsible for the aggravated robbery of the Papa John’s pizza restaurant on Aug. 26.
According to reports, on Aug. 29 an officer saw a car matching the description of the one used to rob the pizza place at 5814 Kirby around 9:17 p.m. The officer pulled the driver over and four suspects were detained and questioned about their involvement in a recent rash of aggravated robberies in multiple jurisdictions.
After further investigation, all four men were charged by WUPD with aggravated robbery. Charges with outside agencies are pending, and the investigation is ongoing.
During the Aug. 26 robbery, the suspects fled the scene with $177 from the cash register. An undisclosed weapon was used, but no injuries were reported.
