A local art gallery is opening an exhibit this weekend featuring the artwork of Mary Lee Gray, an artist and prominent community volunteer in West University Place.

Gray uses the medium of printmaking on wood, linoleum and mixed media to explore relationships among people, especially family relationships. Her art will be on display from Feb. 6 to March 4 at the Archway Gallery, 2305 Dunlavy. The gallery is celebrating with an opening reception on Feb. 6 from 5 to 8 p.m.

In West U., Gray has volunteered for 10 years as a community leader of the Good Neighbor Team, a group that helps seniors. She stepped down from her leadership role late last year to focus on her artwork, but she still volunteers with the group.
