Prelude to Music demonstration will be held this week at the Motherhood Center, at 3701 W. Alabama.

Prelude Music Classes for Children invites parents and their infants, toddlers and preschool children to attend free demonstration classes Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday at the Motherhood Center.

The demonstration classes will be held at the center, at 3701 W. Alabama, suite 230. . Pre-registration is required. Fall session classes will begin Sept. 14.

All classes use the Music Together® curriculum, a research-based music and movement program for children developed by the Center for Music and Young Children in Princeton, New Jersey.  Its goal is to provide the highest quality music and movement experiences to young children and to involve parents and caregivers in a child’s ability to achieve music competence.

Classes are taught by Music Director Ana Trevino-Godfrey, a classically trained professional singer and mother. She received her Doctorate of Music at Rice University and is a soprano soloist for Mercury Baroque and music researcher. The demonstration classes will be held Tuesday, September 8at 3 p.m. and 4 p.m., Thursday, September 10 at 10 a.m. and 11 a.m., and on Saturday, Saturday, September 12 at 9 a.m., 10 and 11 a.m.
