Mixers and Elixirs Returns To Houston Museum Of Natural Science
Beginning June 5, Mixers and Elixirs will return to the Houston Museum of Natural Science. The events include dancing under the dinosaurs to local bands combined with complimentary appetizers and a cash bar every Friday night through Aug. 28.
At 6 p.m., the soiree begins in the Grand Entry Hall with DJ Gracie Chavez. The doors to the Hall of Paleontology open at 7 p.m. for live entertainment. With a separate ticket, participants can watch the first ever full-dome production featuring U2’s classics and modern hits, set to lighting and animation effects using full-dome computer immersion. Songs include “With or Without You,” “Where the Streets Have No Name,” and “Vertigo.” In Dark Side of the Moon, Pink Floyd’s legendary album returns, in a production that utilizes all of the capacities of the museum’s high-definition, full-dome video system.
