Minors In Possession Of Alcohol And Drug Paraphernalia Released To Parents

Around 1:08 a.m. June 29 police saw an SUV traveling east on Bissonnet with a defective brake light. When the car was pulled over, the occupants were found to be under the age of 21 and in possession of alcohol and drug paraphernalia. The occupants were cited and released to their parents.

Failure to stop at a stop sign ended in arrest June 28 after the driver was found not to have a driver’s license or car insurance. Police were initially unable to find the vehicle identification number and the car was impounded. The VIN was later found and the car returned to the owner.

A man was arrested around 12:37 p.m. June 29 after an officer noticed him waking in the 6300 block of Weslayan and recognized him as having an outstanding warrant. When the man was questioned he gave police a fake name and date of birth. He was arrested for false identification as a fugitive.

A resident reported to police on June 29 that an unknown person tried to open a credit account with the victim’s information.  Also on June 29, a couple came to the police station to report that their credit card number was being used to purchase items on the Internet.

A car stereo, a GPS unit and cash were reported stolen from two unlocked cars in the 3100 block of Bissonnet on June 30.

A traffic stop in the 6200 block of Buffalo Speedway on July 1 ended in the arrest of the driver for having a suspended license.

A resident reported to police on July 1 that someone tried to cash a personal check for a large amount of money using her bank account information.

A driver was arrested for multiple traffic violations and warrants on July 2 after he was stopped in the 5700 block of Buffalo Speedway for expired inspection and registration stickers.

A resident in the 6400 block of Belmont called police on July 2 to report that when she came home, she noticed jewelry and cash missing from the master bedroom’s closet.

The mother of a 16-year-old came to the police station on July 2 to report that her son left the house after an argument, and wanted to report him as a runaway.

Police pulled over a driver in the 5600 block of Buffalo Speedway around 8:44 p.m. July 2 for driving with no headlights. The driver had an outstanding warrant, was in possession of a controlled substance and was arrested.

Police were called to a domestic disturbance between a father and daughter around 5 a.m. July 3. Police arrived at a home in the 4200 block of Bissonnet in response to a dispute that already occurred. The daughter told police that 15 minutes before police arrived, she and her father had a physical confrontation with each other. According to reports, police could not establish who the primary aggressor was due to lack of cooperation of the father, daughter and the daughter’s husband. The father was taken away from the residence by the husband for the reminder of the morning.

A driver pulled over for failing to make a complete stop at the intersection of Marquette and Weslayan was arrested for warrants, an expired registration sticker and a suspended driver’s license.
