METRO’s New Network Up and Running

West University Place Interim City Manager M. Christopher Peifer was notified by mail that METRO started their new Bus Network this Sunday, August 16.

As part of METRO’s roll-out of the new network, all rides on METRO buses and trains will be free of charge through Saturday, August 22.

In the letter, METRO President Thomas Lambert states that the changes could impact users in the West U Area.

“Despite our comprehensive outreach and marketing efforts, there could be some of our customers who need assistance in understanding the new system,” said Lambert. “Customers who need assistance can contact METRO’s Customer Information Center at 713-635-4000.”

Peifer said METRO also asked for feedback for any issues that might arise from the changes. To provide comments, contact Eddie Miranda, Vice President of Governmental Affairs, at 713-739-4624 or
