Math And Science Competition This Weekend
Kids will compete this Saturday to complete science experiments and tackle complex math problems at the annual Rainbow Challenge Math Competition.
While students in 3rd through 8th grades compete, their parents can consult with experts about helping their children improve their math and science skills. The central region of the Houston Independent School district hosts the Dec. 5 event from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. at George Scarborough High School, 4141 Costa Rica, Houston.
This is the twenty-first competition that the Educational Rainbow Challenge group has organized for HISD to promote student interest in math and science. This year’s competition provides parents with the opportunity to obtain information to help their children learn efficiently. There will be sessions about the use of Parent-Student Connect and the Renzulli Learning system, a visit to Scarborough High School’s College Go Center, and information tables highlighting magnet programs available for middle and high school students.
