John R. Bolton To Discuss Foreign Policy At Baker Institute
John R. Bolton, a senior fellow at the American Enterprise Institute for Public Policy Research, will address issues facing the United States internationally during an Oct. 14 lecture at Rice University’s Baker Institute for Public Policy, 6100 Main St.
The talk, titled “The Next President and Foreign Policy: One Republican’s Perspective,” begins at 6 p.m. A reception will be held at 5:30 p.m.
Bolton is a prominent neoconservative who served as interim U.S. ambassador to the United Nations from 2005 to 2006. Before that, he was undersecretary of state for arms control and international security. He also held positions in the administrations of George H.W. Bush and Ronald Reagan.
Bolton received his bachelor’s degree from Yale and a law degree from Yale University Law School. He is the author of “Surrender Is Not an Option: Defending America at the United Nations and Abroad.”
